Founder Story

DataDrivenTales was started by an educator finishing year 29 in education. She began as an 8th grade math teacher in Johnston County, continued teaching middle school math in Wake County, and also taught middle school science and computer science.

Coaching volleyball and basketball helped lead her toward high school teaching, where she taught Math 1 and Advanced Functions and Modeling for about 10 years. She later taught Math 1, Intro to Math, Math 2, and Math 3, including work at an alternative school.

For the past 3 years, she has worked as a dual enrollment coordinator helping students access NC Career and College Promise courses while still in high school. After year 30, she hopes to keep growing DataDrivenTales as a course-support website for students, families, and teachers.

  • Organized review paths for students
  • Parent-friendly explanations and links
  • Practice resources built from classroom experience
  • Future course supports and seasonal programs

Site Purpose

DataDrivenTales is meant to be a calm, reliable hub for math review, course readiness, and future learning support. The first focus is free EOC review and Summer Bridge resources, with room to grow into more structured mini-courses and printable supports.

The site is intentionally simple: clear pathways, readable pages, and links that help students and parents know where to begin. It is teacher-created rather than corporate, and it will grow gradually as resources are tested and improved.

Feedback & Updates

Feedback helps keep the resources accurate, useful, and aligned with what students and families actually need. You can submit corrections, suggestions, questions, resource requests, contact updates, or ask to hear about future resources.

The same form can be used for newsletter or update requests as new review materials, Summer Bridge pages, and course-support resources are added.
